Dr. Laura Edwards

Dr. Laura Edwards is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she attended Dalhousie University and graduated in 1996 with her B.Sc. in Biology. She then went on to Dental School and earned her D.D.S. and graduated first in her class as well as receiving the University Medal in Dentistry. Her education continued in Ann Arbor when in 2000 she moved here to obtain her M.S. in Orthodontics from The University of Michigan. Following her graduation, Laura joined the faculty of the Department of Orthodontics at The University and entered private practice. Laura has sat on the board of the University of Michigan Orthodontic Alumni committee. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

In her spare time, Dr. Edwards enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family. Her husband Sean also works here in Ann Arbor as the Chief of Pediatric Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan Health Center. They make their home here in Ann Arbor with their four children Aidan, Megan, Conor and Ryan.

Laura is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Association of Orthodontists, and the Washtenaw District Dental Society.
