Dr. Schaefer has practiced orthodontics since 2002. She loves that the specialty combines healthcare, science, and artistry, and provides the opportunity to develop strong connections with each patient and family.
Dr. Schaefer knows it is important to stay current with the latest technology and provide sound evidence-based recommendations in treatment timing and care for her patients.
Since completing her Master’s degree, Dr. Schaefer has sought to continually grow her knowledge and skills. She believes in being a lifelong learner and continues to excel in her specialty by participating in many continuing education courses and meetings. In addition to attending the Align Technology’s national summit, she also participates in conferences, lectures, and seminars.

Beyond the Practice
Born and raised in a small town just outside of Ann Arbor, Dr. Schaefer and her family have resided in Manchester for over 20 years. Her husband, Corey, who also attended the University of Michigan, became an engineer and works in the automotive industry. They have been married for over 25 years. The couple has three sons, Ty, Carson, and Gavin, along with one dog, Joy.
Attending their sons’ many sport events and supporting their other activities keep the family busy. When she can find the time, Dr. Schaefer likes to run, read books, and enjoy outdoor activities.
